On the Downs this decides more deliveries than the container does. Black cracking clay holds a loaded truck when it's dry and swallows one when it's wet. Four quick questions tell us — and you — which vehicle suits, and whether to wait for a dry spell.

Wet black soil is what bogs a loaded truck on the Downs, and irrigated ground counts as wet. We'll book the delivery for when the paddock is carrying again, or look at a firmer set-down such as a gravel pad or the shed apron.
A narrow gate, a slope or something overhead is the job a HIAB crane is for: it lifts the unit over the obstacle instead of driving around it. It costs more than a tilt-tray. Send us pictures and we'll confirm before quoting.
Plenty of older farm grids and culverts were never built for a loaded sidelifter. If you know the rating, include it; if you don't, say so, and we'll plan a different route or set the unit down short of it.
Firm ground, a decent gate and a clear run usually means a tilt-tray for a 10ft or 20ft, or a sidelifter for a 40ft. That's the simplest and cheapest way in.

As-is grade: Buying as-is? Those units go as seen and carry no watertight promise. Only cargo-worthy and new single-trip stock is checked wind and watertight.
One voyage, factory paint, doors that seal properly. For a workshop fit-out, a crib room, or a box that sits in view of the house for decades. Wind and watertight.
Out of shipping service and checked before it leaves: no daylight through the walls, a sound floor, doors that open and seal. Wind and watertight. The sensible buy for seed, spares and household gear.
Cheaper, sold as seen, and not sold as watertight. Fine for star pickets, droppers, scrap or a windbreak by the yards; wrong for anything that minds a drip.

Seed, fert and spare points need a dry, locked home before sowing starts. Drop the unit while the paddocks are firm and the gateways aren't full of machinery.
Drums belong in a bunded, vented store, not the corner of the shed. Sort the dangerous goods unit before the season's chemical arrives.
Header belts, bearings and fingers kept close to the machine. Book the drop before chaser bins and road trains have the tracks and the yard tied up.
Summer storms can shut black-soil tracks for a while. A dry spell is the time to deliver; if the ground is wet we'll hold off with you rather than bog a truck.
